Below, is a detailed description on how to use this proxy application.

Configuring

Everybody has it's own setup, to work best for themselves. I will show you how i configure Proxy Hunter, and as it works for me, it should for you, too.

First, you need to go to "system" in the menu on the top, then select "change options".

Search&Verify Options
In this part of Proxy Hunter's options, at the top, you see six textboxes. Their setup depends on your computer and your internet connection, but i'll tell you my setup. Connect timeout 5, verify 15, and 50 parallel sockets. Next thing you can set is if you want to ping hosts befeore trying to connect to them. This is usefully and saves lot of time. If you want to use it, check the "ping and then connect".

Verification Data Options
Here, you need to select a website, and a keyword. Proxy Hunter then requests the website through the proxy server, and search for the keyword. If there is the keyword in the proxy reply, this means the proxy works. You can add your own site and keyword, but i suggest you pick one of already listed, or leave it as it is by default.

Scanning

Now that you've configured Proxy Hunter, you can start scanning for proxies. First, you need to set the tasks to do. Go to the "tasks" tab and press the "add task" button. Now choose the task type "searching type" and press next. Here you add the task you want Proxy Hunter to do. Press the "add" button on the right, select the "start&end range" range type and write the start and end IP address. Proxy Hunter will scan every IP between the two you choose. Example of IPs would be 123.45.67.0 and 123.45.67.255, which would scan 256 IP addresses. You can add more than one range here, and when you're finished, press next. Now you do the same thing with ports. Press the "add" button, write the desired port in the textbox, and press ok. As with the ranges, you can add more ports you want to scan. When finished adding ports, press finish, and the blue start button. Proxy Hunter will do the tasks, and list the results in the "results" tab, marking working proxies as "GOOD!". You can then press the "export" button on the right, select the results you want, and export them.
